The PA Maths programme has been embedded across Primary Advantage schools for a number of years and teachers are invited to observe lessons across a range of age phases and topic areas. This is an excellent opportunity to reflect on maths pedagogy and consider how peer observation could play a role in your school’s developmental journey.
Modelled lessons are taught by maths leaders and lead practitioners across our eight PA schools in Hackney.
Whilst we cannot welcome visitors into our schools for modelled lessons this year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are pleased to announce a remote version of our modelled lessons. Using recently filmed videos of our lead teachers in class, our maths leads will unpick key features of the lesson with participants during a Zoom session, in a “Lesson Study” format.
Dates and year groups for each Lesson Study session are below, and more details of the exact focus of each lesson will be added nearer each date. PA Maths Members may book up to 5 staff on each of the sessions using the booking form at the bottom of this page.
