PA Maths Induction for New Starters

Overview

This training is for all staff that are new to their school and require induction into the PA Maths Programme. The session will cover planning, progression and key concepts. This is an intensive session which will prepare all those involved to teach exciting and engaging maths lessons, in line with the current National Curriculum.

This training is now available as a recorded session to provide flexibility for schools to deliver as whole school training, or for individual new members of staff, at their convenience.  The recorded session will be sent to members at the start of the year or is available on request at any time.

Course Objectives

  • To consider the principles that underpin high quality maths planning
  • To understand the Concrete, Pictorial, Abstract (CPA) approach
  • To look at progression through the calculation strands from EYFS – KS2

Cost

Recoded session included in PA Maths Membership. This training can also be delivered to schools in person or online as bespoke whole school staff training as whole day, half day or twilight inset. Please contact us to request prices and availability.
