Day of Inspiration – All EYFS Staff – Thursday 2nd September 2021 – 9am – 3.30pm
Online (details outlined below)
Our 2021 Day of Inspiration has been designed to highlight the importance of the prime areas and how they lay the foundations for children’s success in all other areas of learning. Evidence shows that if children do not have secure foundations in these areas by the age of 5 they may experience barriers in other areas of their learning and development. A recent Ofsted report highlighted the fact that CL, PSED and PD were the areas that have been most impacted by the Covid pandemic. Some children have found it harder to interact with others, take turns and many had limited opportunities to develop their physical skills and gross-motor movements outside.
We are delighted to welcome Kim Lamden and Kim Scott as contributors to our Day of Inspiration.

Welcome to Primary Advantage (new to EYFS and new to PA) – Friday 3 September 2021, times tbc with schools
This induction training will look closely at the requirements of the EYFS Statutory Framework Curriculum and the non-statutory documents. We will examine our current curriculum overview and topic map and allow an opportunity to plan and consider the importance of the learning environment that you provide. We will then reflect on how carefully planned routines, organisation and resources promote a broad range of learning and development opportunities. Finally, we will consider the importance of relationships, your knowledge of children and your role in observing and documenting, supporting play and extending learning.
School based training, individualised on a needs basis by EYFS leads.
