Cross school moderation will give teachers the opportunity to come together in year groups from EYFS to Key Stage 2, to share best practice around assessment. Using the Primary Advantage Fundamentals, teachers will establish which children are on track to achieve their yearly objectives. These sessions will give practitioners the opportunity to share a range of assessment types, look closely at learning and share thinking. Practitioners are expected to bring a cross section of books and assessment evidence to discuss with their colleagues. This session will provoke in depth discussion around assessment, making judgements and responding to the needs of the learners.
