Sophie is the Federation Early Years Leader, and has over 11 years of experience of working with young children in various educational settings. In her current role she is supporting schools in leading development and raising standards in the Early Years. She has carried out extensive EYFS data analysis as part of her role and planned programmes of support with senior leaders. She has experience of teaching and leading in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and her passion is understanding how our youngest children learn and setting up environments that are conducive to enable this learning.
Through her school to school support work she has coached and mentored both NQTs, RQTs and middle leaders to develop practice and embed pedagogy. Sophie has modelled lessons, team planned and team taught and reviewed teaching and learning across the EYFS and KS1. She has experience of delivering a range of CPD sessions, which are often tailored to specific school’s needs and securely underpinned by best practice and current pedagogy, including embedding phonics in a rich reading curriculum, growing early mathematical thinkers and interacting effectively to support children’s learning and development.
