Has has lived within the Hackney/ Islington area for over 30 years and has played an active role in the within her community, from working alongside Hackney Foodbank, to serving on the leadership team at her local church.
She read Law at university and went on to complete the Legal Practice Course professional qualification.
Becoming a lone parent meant placing her career on hold, whilst her daughter was very young, to concentrate on raising her. She was able to spend invaluable time with her daughter, who is now thriving.
She did not give up on her dream of one day becoming a qualified lawyer. She has now secured a position as a Paralegal within the Crown Prosecution Service and has hopes of qualifying with the largest law firm in the country.
Being a newmember, she aims to bring a fresh, grounded perspective, with first hand understanding of barriers faced and desires held, by many families within the Federation.
