Our Partnerships

The federation works extensively with a wide range of high-quality partners who provide their expertise to help us deliver the best possible education and experiences for our pupils We are open-looking and truly value collaboration to bring the best from the wider world into our schools.

Hackney Education and Schools

Hackney Education is the education directorate for Hackney Council. Hackney’s education system has greatly improved over the past two decades, from being one of the lowest performing boroughs to one of the best. Pupils’ performance improved dramatically, alongside a strong focus on inclusivity and diversity. Hackney’s performance in its schools and settings has consistently performed well above the national average, regularly being in the top quartile when ranked against all local authorities in England.

Primary Advantage continues to work closely with the Hackney Education and Schools in the fields of CPD, school improvement and system leadership.

National Centre for Excellence in Teaching of Mathematics – Maths Hubs

The purpose of the Maths Hubs Programme, coordinated by the NCETM, is to help schools and colleges lead improvement in mathematics education in England. They seek to harness all the maths leadership and expertise within an area, to develop and spread excellent practice, for the benefit of all pupils and students.

Primary Advantage works very closely with our local London North East Maths Hub. All our schools participate in professional development programmes with them, and some of our teachers are accredited Maths Mastery Specialists and lead training for the Maths Hub, hosted in our own schools, for our staff and colleagues from across Hackney and North East London.

UCL Institute of Education

UCL Institute of Education (IoE) has been ranked number one for education worldwide every year since 2014 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject. Their mission is to improve lives through education – enhancing opportunities, experiences and outcomes through world-leading education, research and enterprise.

Primary Advantage works closely with UCL-IoE to train new teachers in our schools every year and we engage in research other projects with them and UCL more widely.

Diocese of London

The Church of England has established and sustained schools for the people of London for hundreds of years. In 1924, the London Diocesan Board for Schools was set up to be the educational arm of the London Diocese. The function of the LDBS and aspects of its governance is set down in the Diocesan Measure that has been approved by both Parliament and the Church. Key purposes of the LDBS are “to promote church schools” and “to promote education which is consistent with the faith and practice of the Church of England”

Four of our schools within the Federation are church schools. Primary Advantage works in close partnership with The Diocese of London, who play a key role in our school development and governance
