EYFS Induction: Assessment in the Early Years
It is vital that all early years staff understand the value of knowing what our children can do, what skills and knowledge they can share and demonstrate. We will explore Primary Advantage ‘Foundations’; our bespoke assessment tool. In this session we will also unpick how observations support and underpin assessment and provision.
This induction workshop will include theory and practice and give a comprehensive overview of what assessment looks like in our EYFS settings. We will look at ways of gathering information when children start with us, and explore ongoing assessment. This session will also look at what end of year expectations look like.
